Race through history during the 6th edition of the Pyramids Half Marathon and spend a few days in Cairo to really explore the city. Visit the Giza Pyramids, Egyptian Museum, and Khan al-Khalili and so much more.

WEDNESDAY 30TH OCT | CAIRO
Arrival in Cairo where your journey starts. Overnight in Cairo.
THURSDAY 31ST OCT | GIZA
Meals: Breakfast
The day will be devoted to antiquities: the Great Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx. You will even get to ride camels at the Pyramids, if you wish.
An optional tour is available to go see the ancient city of Memphis and Imhotep’s Step Pyramid of Sakkara (for the price of $55).
We will then head over to pick up your race pack and attend the pre-race briefing (times below). Overnight in Cairo.

Post-race, an optional tour can be offered of the National Museum of Civilization (NMEC), boasting a collection of 50,000 artefacts, showcasing Egyptian civilization from prehistoric times to the present day. Cost of tour $55 per person.

SATURDAY 2ND NOV | CAIRO
Meals: Breakfast
After breakfast, we will visit the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, home to an extensive collection of ancient Egyptian antiquities.
Afterwards, you can enjoy an optional walking tour of Cairo’s Islamic scenes in El-Moez street for only $45. Our walking tour starts in the old town of AlQahira, where one can see the old walls and gates of the city,
AlHakim mosque, walk by Qalaoon complex and all other Mamluks and Ottoman mosques and buildings along with a professional tour guide to never miss a detail.
SUNDAY 3RD NOV | CAIRO

You will be transferred to Cairo airport for your international flight back.

Health & Safety Precautions
All event managers, staff, and media personnel will wear masks.
After installation, all touchpoints will be thoroughly disinfected. 70% alcohol will be available before the start of every obstacles so that participants can disinfect their hands.
The Pyramids Half Marathon, including the Race Expo on the preceding two days, takes place entirely outdoors, ensuring effective social distancing and following international guidelines implemented following the COVID-19 pandemic.
70% alcohol will be available for sanitisation of hands and masks for those who wish to wear them although they are not mandatory, based on guidelines from Egypt's Ministry of Health.
The safety of every single participant is our number one priority. At the Start Line Zone and Finish Line Zone, and across the Race Course, there are ambulances provided by Alfa Medical Group and El Safa Hospitals, trained medical personnel, and senior doctors with significant experience covering running races and sports events.
The nearest hospitals, Al Haram Hospital and El Shorouk Hospital are on stand-by and ready to receive any runners who face any medical conditions before, during, or after the race.
The Pyramids Half Marathon is organised by The TriFactory, a fully-licensed sports event management company under the supervision of the Egyptian Ministry of Youth & Sports, and the event also falls under the supervision of the Egyptian Athletics Federation, including all local and international standards are met when it comes to race organisation and health & safety standards.
